This contract opportunity seeks a Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapist adept at working across diverse patient populations, including those with COPD, asthma, respiratory failure, burns, strokes, and trauma. Candidates will perform essential respiratory interventions and float throughout the hospital to meet patient needs.
Schedule:
- 12-hour shifts: 6:30am–7:00pm or 6:30pm–7:00am
- Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
- No on-call required
- Some holiday availability needed
- Six-week schedule posted four weeks in advance
Desired Background:
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience, including previous adult critical care exposure
- Open to first-time travelers with relevant experience
- Active state license and diploma from an accredited RT program
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; NRP preferred
- RRT preferred, will consider CRT with managerial approval
Core Skills:
- Adult critical care and Level I Trauma exposure preferred
- Proficient in inhaled epoprostenol, intubation assist, bedside bronchoscopy/tracheostomy assist, oxygen therapies (high flow, aerosol/SVN/aerogen/MDI), and ABGs
- Experiences with Cerner EMR, Omnicell, PB 980, Medfusion, Nihon Kohden 440/550, Hamilton MRI, HT70, Noctural Bipaps V30s
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to a wide range of adult patients
- Float to various hospital units as needed (excludes NICU/ER training for travelers)
- Collaborate with a supportive team that includes supervisors, a coordinator, and an educator
- Participate in both day and night orientations for optimal preparation

$1,575 - $1,714/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
