Registered Respiratory Therapist - Shepherdsville, Kentucky

Deliver critical respiratory care in a dynamic hospital environment, supporting patients with a range of diagnoses such as COPD, asthma, respiratory failure, burns, strokes, and traumas. This contract role welcomes experienced professionals as well as first-time travelers who bring prior adult critical care experience.

Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM–7:00 PM or 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
• Every other weekend rotation
• Holiday availability required
• 6-week schedules posted 4 weeks in advance

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
• Active state license required
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) considered with manager approval
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; NRP preferred
• Diploma from an accredited respiratory therapy program
• Adult critical care skills including:
  • Inhaled epoprostenol, intubation assist, bedside bronchoscopy/tracheostomy assist
  • Oxygen therapy, high-flow oxygen, aerosol treatments (SVN/aerogen/MDI), ABGs
  • Experience with Level I Trauma cases preferred

Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted respiratory treatments and therapies
• Float efficiently throughout various hospital units; please note, NICU and ER training for travelers not typically provided
• Collaborate with an experienced support team (RT manager, supervisors, coordinators, and educators)
• Use advanced technology such as Cerner EMR, Omnicell, and multiple ventilator platforms
• Adhere to best practices in adult critical care and contribute to positive outcomes

$1,575 - $1,714/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
