Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid license and credentials as a Respiratory Therapist (RT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Current certifications such as BLS (Basic Life Support) or ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred
- Previous experience providing inpatient respiratory support in acute care or hospital environments
- Proficiency in ventilator management, oxygen therapy, airway management, and pulmonary function testing
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing clinical demands
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, monitor, and document patients’ respiratory status and needs
- Administer respiratory therapies and interventions according to provider orders and established protocols
- Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen delivery systems
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to optimize patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on disease management and equipment use
- Ensure compliance with infection control policies, safety regulations, and quality standards
