Seeking an experienced professional to provide critical care services as a Registered Respiratory Therapist on a contract basis. Qualifications:

  • Current and valid credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Successful completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program
  • Active respiratory care practitioner license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
  • Proven clinical experience in acute care environments
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and documentation skills
  • Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and treat patients with respiratory disorders according to physician orders and care protocols
  • Manage ventilators, administer aerosol therapy, perform arterial blood gas sampling/analysis, and provide airway management
  • Monitor patient responses and adjust care plans as necessary
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and home care practices
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with healthcare standards
  • Uphold infection control and safety procedures at all times
