Seeking a skilled professional with experience in sleep technology for a 13-week contract opportunity. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in respiratory care and expertise as a Sleep Technician who are passionate about patient comfort, accurate diagnostics, and high-quality sleep studies.
Schedule:
- 12-hour night shifts
- Wednesday through Friday, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am
Key Qualifications:
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential required
- Previous experience as a Sleep Tech with familiarity in conducting and scoring sleep studies
- Strong knowledge of sleep disorders, polysomnography equipment, and patient monitoring techniques
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to recognize and address clinical changes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with patients and healthcare teams
Core Responsibilities:
- Administer comprehensive in-lab polysomnographic recordings, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure
- Calibrate and troubleshoot sleep study equipment prior to and during testing
- Monitor patients throughout overnight studies, documenting observations and responding swiftly to patient needs or equipment alarms
- Accurately collect, score, and interpret physiological data according to established protocols
- Provide clear instructions, answer questions, and foster a supportive environment for patients undergoing sleep studies
- Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and infection control standards within the sleep lab
- Collaborate closely with medical staff for timely reporting of study results and relevant patient observations
