Sleep Technician RST | Johnson City, New York

Schedule:

• Night shifts
• 40 hours per week

Key Qualifications:

• Relevant experience as a Sleep Technologist (Sleep Tech) or Respiratory Therapist with an interest in sleep medicine
• Active registration as RPSGT or RRT, OR:
  • RRT with RPSGT or equivalent: Qualifies for independent technical and scoring duties
  • RRT holding RST or RRT-SDS: Eligible for full scope of duties
  • RRT without sleep specialty credential: Must complete A-STEP or accredited polysomnography program within 2 years; can carry out technical duties, but scoring must be supervised
  • Candidates without a sleep specialty cert may perform scoring duties only while supervised
• Previous experience in an AASM-accredited sleep center highly desirable
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality patient care

Core Responsibilities:

• Monitor, record, and score sleep studies with precision and accuracy
• Set up and calibrate sleep study equipment
• Provide detailed reports and communicate findings with supervising credentialed sleep professionals as required
• Ensure patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality throughout each study
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to deliver optimal patient outcomes
