This is a 13-week contract opportunity for a compassionate and skilled professional passionate about improving patient outcomes.
Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour night shifts (7pm–7am)
- Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
Qualifications:
- Current BLS certification required
- Valid RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist) certification
- Prior experience in sleep diagnostics, with proficiency in respiratory and sleep technology
- Strong understanding of sleep study protocols, testing procedures, and patient monitoring equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities for data collection and interpretation
- Clear communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare colleagues
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for overnight polysomnography studies, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort
- Monitor, record, and document sleep patterns, physiological measurements, and any events throughout study duration
- Troubleshoot and calibrate equipment before and during use to guarantee optimal data accuracy
- Score sleep studies and prepare detailed reports for physicians
- Respond promptly to patient needs and clinical situations during testing
- Maintain meticulous records in compliance with facility protocols and patient privacy standards
