Step into a vital role supporting high-quality patient care as a registered Sleep Technician specializing in Respiratory and Sleep Technology for a contract position. This opportunity involves providing expert sleep study services to a diverse patient population, including children beginning at age five. You will have a consistent evening schedule, working four nights per week with 10-hour shifts from 7:30pm to 6:30am.
Schedule:
- Four 10-hour shifts weekly (7:30pm – 6:30am)
Key Qualifications:
- Current registration in Sleep Technology (required)
- Active BLS certification (required)
- Preference for candidates with experience serving pediatric populations
- Willingness to float between several sleep lab sites as needed
- Excellent attention to detail and capability to work independently
- Eagerness to learn Epic EMR with on-the-job training
Role Responsibilities:
- Perform complex sleep studies, including CPAP and BiPAP titrations
- Oversee and assist with challenging data collection to ensure optimal study quality
- Score and document sleep study results (sleep stages, respiratory events, limb movements, etc.) following established protocols
- Prepare comprehensive performance summaries and generate reports for physician review
- Ensure compliance with BRPT Standards of Conduct
- Collaborate with other technicians and healthcare providers to enhance patient outcomes
