Experience the opportunity to make a difference by supporting patients’ restorative sleep and respiratory wellness. This contract assignment seeks a skilled professional with expertise in sleep technology to provide specialized care in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Schedule:
- 13-week contract
- Night shifts, 7:00pm–7:00am, Wednesday through Friday (Three 12-hour shifts)
Qualifications:
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Demonstrated competency in sleep studies, polysomnography, and respiratory support
- Previous experience as a Sleep Technologist or similar role strongly preferred
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyze sleep data and recognize abnormalities
- Strong communication skills for patient and team collaboration
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct overnight sleep studies according to established protocols and standards
- Monitor and record physiological data, including EEG, EOG, EMG, ECG, respiratory effort, and SpO2
- Identify, document, and respond to clinical events during studies, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Apply, calibrate, and troubleshoot diagnostic equipment
- Educate and prepare patients for sleep testing procedures, addressing concerns and explaining processes
- Collaborate with sleep physicians and healthcare team members for quality patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to hospital and departmental policies
