Seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care in a dynamic healthcare environment on a 13-week contract. You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering life-support interventions, resuscitation, patient monitoring, and both invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures across Intensive Care and General Practice settings. This opportunity offers exposure to a wide range of clinical assignments and the chance to work with a multidisciplinary team focused on excellent patient outcomes.

Schedule:

  • Three 12-hour shifts per week: 1845-0715
  • Every other weekend required

Qualifications:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with active licensure
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong documentation, communication, and clinical skills
  • Ability to effectively supervise, direct, and delegate to junior staff, externs, and students

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver life-support, oxygen therapy, ventilation, and resuscitation treatments as ordered
  • Perform and interpret a range of diagnostic procedures for ICU and general patients
  • Accurately document all patient care activities and complete necessary billing details
  • Provide clear communication with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
  • Maintain clinical expertise and adapt to varied departmental assignments as needed
  • Supervise and mentor respiratory therapy staff and students to ensure high standards of care
