Qualifications:

• Active credentials as a Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT required)
• Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
• Minimum of Associate’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy program
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Previous clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting strongly desired
• Solid understanding of respiratory therapy equipment and patient assessment techniques
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient respiratory assessments and provide therapy per physician orders
• Administer oxygen, aerosol, and medications using appropriate delivery methods
• Operate and maintain ventilators and other respiratory support equipment
• Monitor patient responses and collaborate with the healthcare team regarding any changes
• Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and self-care
• Maintain accurate and timely records of treatments and patient progress
• Comply with infection control practices and hospital safety protocols
