Schedule:

  • Flexible contract assignment
  • Shifts available in both 5-day and 8-hour blocks

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Active certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Valid state Respiratory Care Practitioner license (or eligibility)
  • Demonstrated experience in acute care settings such as hospitals or clinics
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to respond swiftly in emergencies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with ventilators, airway management, and various respiratory equipment
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, monitor, and treat patients with respiratory conditions or compromised lung function
  • Perform diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gases
  • Manage ventilators and administer oxygen therapy in accordance with physician orders
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and at-home care plans
  • Accurately document all clinical interventions and patient responses in records
  • Maintain, clean, and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment according to protocols
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
