Key Qualifications:

• Active credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Demonstrated expertise in advanced respiratory assessment, intervention, and management
• Proficient in performing, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic procedures, including arterial blood gas analysis
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
• Experience mentoring or providing clinical guidance to peers and supporting staff is helpful
• Knowledgeable about safe medication administration and able to assess patient responses
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accurate documentation and inventory management

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform and interpret respiratory diagnostic testing according to established protocols
• Initiate and monitor respiratory therapies, including medication administration and interventions guided by patient assessment
• Communicate patient progress proactively with physicians, nurses, and other care team members
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, self-care techniques, and health promotion
• Maintain awareness of patient conditions and recommend care changes as needed
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, including identifying potential hazards
• Attend department meetings and contribute to the advancement of respiratory care standards
• Support clinical projects or special assignments as directed by leadership
