Qualifications:

• Active credential as a Respiratory Therapist (RT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Current state licensure (or eligibility) as required
• Experience in acute care, critical care, or hospital-based respiratory therapy strongly preferred
• Familiarity with ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and airway clearance techniques
• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• CPR/BLS certification (and other advanced certifications as required)
• Ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care modalities in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols
• Deliver therapeutic interventions including aerosol medications, chest physiotherapy, and mechanical ventilation management
• Monitor patient progress, document changes, and adjust therapeutic plans as needed
• Conduct arterial blood gas analysis and interpret results
• Instruct patients and their families on respiratory treatments and self-care strategies
• Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned, calibrated, and maintained
• Abide by infection control policies and safety guidelines within the facility
