Qualifications & Experience:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Current applicable state license
• Demonstrated proficiency in performing and interpreting diagnostic respiratory procedures
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Experience collaborating within interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to educate patients and families on respiratory care and wellness
• Flexibility to mentor CRT staff and provide expertise as needed

Schedule/Hours:

• Contract position with possible floating to other departments as required
• Potential for on-call assignments during scheduled shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and interpret diagnostic testing, including arterial blood gases, following established protocols
• Troubleshoot and maintain respiratory equipment for optimal performance
• Initiate patient-specific respiratory interventions and communicate progress to healthcare teams
• Administer medications safely and evaluate therapeutic effectiveness
• Offer guidance and education to patients and families on disease management and self-care
• Complete thorough and accurate documentation; monitor supplies and equipment status
• Engage in safety initiatives, participate in quality improvement and contribute to departmental meetings
• Serve as a clinical mentor and resource, fostering the development of colleagues
• Fulfill additional duties and assignments aligned with the needs of the department

$1,895 - $2,074/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
