Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active license as a Respiratory Therapist
  • Successful completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (RRT or CRT)
  • Current BLS certification (ACLS and PALS preferred)
  • Solid understanding of respiratory therapy procedures, equipment, and best practices
  • Excellent communication abilities with patients, families, and medical staff
  • Two or more years of recent acute care experience preferred

Responsibilities & Key Duties:

  • Evaluate, assess, and treat patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders
  • Administer therapeutic procedures including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and chest physiotherapy as prescribed
  • Monitor and document patient response to therapy, making collaborative adjustments as necessary
  • Participate in emergency code situations and provide airway management
  • Educate patients and their families about respiratory treatments and equipment use
  • Maintain and calibrate respiratory equipment, ensuring safety and compliance
