Responsibilities include:
- Administering therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care procedures, including oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, and aerosol treatments
- Conducting patient assessments and participating in care planning with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintaining accurate documentation of interventions and responses according to regulatory standards
- Monitoring, calibrating, and troubleshooting respiratory therapy equipment
- Delivering patient education on respiratory care management and preventive strategies
- Responding promptly to medical emergencies and rapid response situations
- Strictly adhering to infection control and hospital safety protocols
- Complying with physician orders and upholding evidence-based clinical guidelines
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
- Experience working in acute care or hospital-based settings
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency with advanced respiratory support technology and mechanical ventilation
- BLS (Basic Life Support) & ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications preferred
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to patient care
