An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to deliver high-quality care in a respected healthcare setting. Schedule:

  • Night shifts
  • 36 hours per week
  • 13-week assignment

Qualifications:

  • Active NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • New York State Respiratory Therapist license in good standing
  • Demonstrated critical care and neonatal intensive care (NICU) experience
  • Proficiency with V60 BiPAP, 980 Puritan Bennett ventilators
  • Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system
  • Capability and willingness to participate in external patient transports

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and administer respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic conditions in critical care and NICU settings
  • Operate and manage advanced respiratory equipment, including BiPAP and Puritan Bennett ventilators
  • Document all assessments, therapies, and patient responses accurately using EPIC
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in external patient transports, delivering safe, attentive care during the process
  • Maintain current best practices in respiratory therapy and comply with all regulatory and safety standards
