An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Respiratory Therapist ready to take on a contract role in a fast-paced healthcare setting. This position is ideal for a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a strong background in critical care and neonatal intensive care, who is comfortable with advanced ventilator management and external patient transports.

Schedule:

  • Nights
  • 36 hours per week
  • 13-week assignment

Qualifications:

  • NBRC RRT certification required
  • Current and valid BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Active New York State Respiratory Therapy license
  • Prior experience in critical care and NICU settings
  • Proficiency with V60 BiPAP and 980 Puritan Bennett Ventilators
  • Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system
  • Experience participating in external patient transports

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients in intensive and neonatal intensive care units
  • Monitor, assess, and adjust ventilator settings using advanced devices such as V60 BiPAP and Puritan Bennett 980
  • Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies and complex clinical scenarios
  • Accurately document care using EPIC EMR system
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
  • Safely participate in patient transports outside the facility as required
