Qualifications:

  • Active Respiratory Therapist license (RRT or CRT, as applicable)
  • Registered with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Minimum of one year of recent hospital experience
  • Proficiency in a variety of respiratory therapy modalities and equipment
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, treat, and manage respiratory care for patients of varying acuity
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to plan and deliver optimal care
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilators, oxygen therapy equipment, and related devices
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and respiratory health
  • Accurately document care and respond swiftly to emergencies
