Deliver advanced patient care in a dynamic healthcare setting as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. This contract opportunity offers meaningful hands-on experience caring for patients requiring life-support and specialized respiratory treatments.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 3 x 12-hour shifts
  • 1845-0715
  • Every other weekend required
  • 13-week contract

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist
  • Active and current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
  • BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) required
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience supervising, directing, or delegating to other respiratory therapy staff, interns, and students preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer respiratory care and life-support therapies under the general supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor
  • Perform both invasive and non-invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for Intensive Care and General Practice Unit patients
  • Deliver medical gases and monitor patient response to therapy
  • Provide ongoing clinical expertise in various settings throughout the healthcare facility as assigned
  • Document all elements of patient care accurately and promptly in accordance with facility protocols
  • Maintain clear, compassionate communication with patients, co-workers, physicians, and other personnel concerning patient care
  • Supervise, train, and guide respiratory therapists, students, and externs as necessary
  • Complete all required and accurate patient billing information
