Registered Respiratory Therapist in Cary, NC

Schedule/Hours:

• Night shifts: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
• Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Contract duration: 13 weeks
• Start date: 9/21/26

Key Qualifications:

• Current credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Proven experience in pediatric respiratory therapy preferred
• Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for Respiratory Therapy
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Experience with advanced respiratory support equipment and procedures
• BLS and PALS certifications required

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive respiratory care for pediatric patients in accordance with physician directives and hospital protocols
• Assess, treat, and monitor infants and children needing respiratory support
• Collaborate effectively with nurses, physicians, and multidisciplinary care teams
• Document patient assessments, progress, and response to therapy accurately
• Provide education to patients and families regarding respiratory therapies and equipment
• Act on emergency responses including resuscitation and airway management
