Bring your expertise as a Respiratory Therapist to a renowned pediatric-focused healthcare facility in Charlotte, NC. As a valued member of the team, you’ll deliver high-quality care across neonate, pediatric, and occasionally adult patient populations within a state-of-the-art environment featuring a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and a teaching hospital atmosphere.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour night shifts (1900-0700), 36 hours per week
  • Weekend rotation: every other weekend
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Expect to cover 75% of holidays, with up to 6 requested days off (excluding holidays, contingent on contract fulfillment)
  • Shifts scheduled on a 6-week cycle

Key Qualifications:

  • Active NC Respiratory Therapy license
  • Registered (RRT) or Certified (CRT) Respiratory Therapist credentials
  • Current BLS, PALS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy, ideally in a resource team capacity (ED, PICU, Peds CVICU, Peds PCU, General Medicine)
  • Proficiency with IPPV/NIPPV ventilator support and patient care technologies (familiarity with EPIC EMR and facility-specific equipment discussed during interview)
  • Willingness to work with neonate, pediatric, and adult populations as needed
  • First-time travelers welcome

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver respiratory therapy following best practices throughout the facility
  • Respond to and manage respiratory needs in varied departments, ensuring expert care for complex pediatric cases with occasional adult support
  • Collaborate with experienced respiratory leadership and interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
  • Participate in departmental orientation and ongoing training
