Bring your expertise as a Respiratory Therapist to a renowned pediatric-focused healthcare facility in Charlotte, NC. As a valued member of the team, you’ll deliver high-quality care across neonate, pediatric, and occasionally adult patient populations within a state-of-the-art environment featuring a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and a teaching hospital atmosphere.
Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour night shifts (1900-0700), 36 hours per week
- Weekend rotation: every other weekend
- No on-call responsibilities
- Expect to cover 75% of holidays, with up to 6 requested days off (excluding holidays, contingent on contract fulfillment)
- Shifts scheduled on a 6-week cycle
Key Qualifications:
- Active NC Respiratory Therapy license
- Registered (RRT) or Certified (CRT) Respiratory Therapist credentials
- Current BLS, PALS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy, ideally in a resource team capacity (ED, PICU, Peds CVICU, Peds PCU, General Medicine)
- Proficiency with IPPV/NIPPV ventilator support and patient care technologies (familiarity with EPIC EMR and facility-specific equipment discussed during interview)
- Willingness to work with neonate, pediatric, and adult populations as needed
- First-time travelers welcome
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver respiratory therapy following best practices throughout the facility
- Respond to and manage respiratory needs in varied departments, ensuring expert care for complex pediatric cases with occasional adult support
- Collaborate with experienced respiratory leadership and interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
- Participate in departmental orientation and ongoing training
