Apply NowDeliver advanced respiratory care in a dynamic healthcare environment as a Registered Respiratory Therapist supporting multiple facilities across Region 2 in Charlotte, NC. This position involves critical and progressive care responsibilities, primarily on a 12-hour night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), with a contract structure. Rotations include every other weekend and a requirement to work the majority of holidays.
Schedule:
- 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend rotation
- Expectation to work 75% of holidays
Qualifications:
- Active NC Respiratory Therapist license (RRT or CRT)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy
- BLS and ACLS; PALS and NRP preferred, especially for Resource Team
- Proficiency in critical care, CVICU, NICU (adult care focus), ED, progressive care, and all floor therapies
- Experience with advanced technology and ventilators, including Servo ventilators (I, U, Airs), Trilogy, ResMed AirCurve, HiFlow, Airvo, NOXbox, and bubble CPAP
- EPIC EMR competency
- Willingness to float to all facilities in Region 2, including Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, Central Division, and associated freestanding EDs
- Willingness to adapt to mid-shift floating; travel time is compensated
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled respiratory care for adult and NICU populations (no pediatrics)
- Interpret physician orders, initiate respiratory treatments, and monitor patient response
- Collaborate with an experienced respiratory care leadership team and multidisciplinary staff
- Support over 300 patients daily across a busy region
- Uphold high standards of patient care within a collaborative, values-driven department
