Elevate your career by contributing your expertise as a Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapist within a renowned pediatric Level 1 Trauma Center and teaching hospital. This contract opportunity is designed for professionals capable of providing exceptional respiratory care for neonatal, pediatric, and occasional adult patients throughout an advanced medical facility.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week; shift times are 1845-0715
  • Weekend rotation every other weekend
  • No on-call requirements
  • Expectation to work 75% of holidays

Key Qualifications:

  • Active NC Respiratory Therapist licensure (RRT or CRT)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience in a resource team or similar environment
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
  • Proficient in IPPV/NIPPV ventilator management, with exposure to ED, PICU, Peds CVICU, Peds PCU, and general medical floors
  • Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC
  • Willingness to complete facility and department orientation sessions

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver respiratory care across diverse clinical units, primarily serving neonatal and pediatric populations
  • Perform ventilator management and respiratory interventions using department-specific equipment
  • Collaborate with respiratory leadership and interdisciplinary teams to fulfill patient care goals
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the EPIC EMR system
  • Adhere to safety protocols and facility guidelines, including professional appearance in royal blue scrubs

  • No mandatory floating to other facilities
  • Free on-site parking
  • Travel eligibility requires a permanent residence at least 50 miles from the facility
