Key Qualifications:

  • Valid credentials as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • Active licensure as required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional advanced certifications (such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP) are a plus
  • Experience with ventilator management, airway care, and administering therapeutic interventions
  • Strong decision-making abilities and adept at working in a multidisciplinary setting
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, monitor, and manage patients with respiratory disorders in collaboration with physicians and nursing staff
  • Administer prescribed medications and therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and chest physiotherapy
  • Operate and maintain respiratory devices such as ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP machines, and pulse oximeters
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory care plans and equipment usage
  • Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies and participate in rapid response and code situations
  • Accurately chart interventions and progress while adhering to facility and regulatory protocols
