Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Proven experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital or acute care setting
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Credentials from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Ability to effectively operate ventilators, nebulizers, and related respiratory equipment
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to react quickly in emergencies

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient assessments and administer prescribed respiratory therapy interventions
  • Manage mechanical ventilators, oxygen therapy, and related respiratory equipment
  • Monitor, document, and communicate patient progress with interdisciplinary team
  • Conduct arterial blood gas analysis and interpret results to support clinical decisions
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding respiratory health and equipment use
  • Participate actively in emergency response situations, including code blue procedures
  • Comply with infection control and safety protocols at all times
