Registered Respiratory Therapist in Charlotte, NC

Seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist with strong clinical expertise to provide outstanding care in a dynamic hospital environment. This contract position features a 12-hour night shift (19:00–07:00), with a schedule of 36 hours per week. You’ll be part of a specialized team at a facility equipped with 247 licensed beds, a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center, and advanced cardiac and stroke care capabilities.

Schedule:

• 12-hour night shifts: 19:00–07:00
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation
• Holiday coverage required for 75% of holidays
• No on-call responsibilities

Qualifications:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
• Current NC licensure
• 2+ years of recent experience in Respiratory Therapy (Resource Team), including IPPV/NIPPV ventilator management
• Competency in ED, PICU, Pediatric CVICU, Peds PCU, and general med floors
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver respiratory care to patients ranging from neonates and pediatrics to adults as needed
• Manage advanced ventilator and respiratory equipment (IPPV/NIPPV)
• Utilize EPIC EMR system for patient charting
• Collaborate closely with respiratory leadership and physicians
• Remain on-site within the department; no floating to outside facilities
• Adhere to department standards and participate in both new employee orientation and two days of departmental onboarding

$2,025 - $2,203/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
