Bring your expertise as a Respiratory Therapist and support exceptional care by ensuring patients receive state-of-the-art respiratory interventions. In this contract role, you’ll leverage your clinical skills to evaluate, treat, and manage patients with cardiopulmonary disorders. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated interdisciplinary team and deliver therapies that improve lives and health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients’ respiratory status and provide appropriate therapy in accordance with care plans
- Initiate, monitor, and adjust mechanical ventilation; respond quickly to emergency situations
- Administer medications and therapeutic gases as ordered
- Interpret diagnostic tests, including arterial blood gases, and report results
- Deliver patient and family education on respiratory health and equipment use
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record
- Uphold infection control and safety protocols at all times
- Act as a resource to nursing staff and physicians regarding respiratory care
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Valid, unencumbered state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
- Proven clinical experience in an acute care or hospital environment
- Advanced knowledge of ventilator management, airway care, and emergency procedures
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative disposition
- BLS and ACLS certification required
Hours/Schedule:
