Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Respiratory Therapist
  • Previous experience in acute care or hospital settings preferred
  • Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy procedures, equipment, and protocols
  • BLS and ACLS certification required (or ability to obtain before start)
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and implement respiratory therapies based on individual patient needs
  • Administer oxygen, aerosol medications, and other respiratory treatments
  • Operate and monitor ventilators and other advanced respiratory equipment
  • Respond to emergency situations, providing airway management and cardiopulmonary resuscitation as needed
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and self-care techniques
  • Accurately document patient care activities in medical records
