Qualifications:

  • Valid credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
  • Active, unrestricted state license as required for practice
  • Proven clinical experience in acute, critical, and/or emergency care environments
  • BLS certification (required); ACLS and PALS preferred
  • Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy procedures, ventilator management, and diagnostic techniques
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work under pressure

Responsibilities:

  • Perform assessments, set up, and monitor respiratory therapy procedures for patients according to physician orders and established protocols
  • Conduct and interpret arterial blood gas analyses and other diagnostic studies
  • Manage, operate, and maintain various respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen delivery systems
  • Educate patients and their families on respiratory therapy procedures and at-home care techniques
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate individualized patient care plans
  • Document all treatments, observations, and patient responses accurately
