Registered Respiratory Therapist in Chelsea, MI

A skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist is needed to support the care of patients requiring life-support, resuscitation, and ongoing respiratory therapies. This is a contract opportunity structured for 13 weeks, focused on delivering excellence in critical care and general units.

Schedule:

• 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
• 1845-0715 (overnight shifts)
• Every other weekend required

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years' recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Current licensure and Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials
• Active BLS certification
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare teams, and supervisors
• Commitment to high standards of patient care and safety

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver life-support, resuscitation, oxygen, and various gas therapies to a diverse patient population
• Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures in both Intensive Care and General Practice Units
• Maintain current clinical expertise and rotate as assigned to different business units when necessary
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately and promptly in the medical record
• Serve as a resource and provide supervision, direction, and delegation to Respiratory Therapists, students, and orientees
• Ensure accurate completion of patient billing records related to respiratory services
