Registered Respiratory Therapist in Chesapeake, VA

Schedule & Length:

• Weekdays, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• 13-week contract

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
• Minimum of two years’ experience in respiratory therapy
• Prior generalist experience is preferred
• Familiarity with GE equipment highly desired
• Active BLS certification required
• ACLS and NRP certifications preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients, including assessment, treatment, and monitoring
• Operate and manage ventilators, respiratory equipment, and therapeutic procedures
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to deliver comprehensive patient care
• Educate patients and families on respiratory health management and equipment use
• Maintain detailed documentation and adhere to facility protocols and safety standards
