Support patients’ respiratory care and make a vital impact on their health as a Registered Respiratory Therapist on a contract basis. Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract position (duration as discussed during interview)
  • Specific schedule details will be determined based on facility needs

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Valid and current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
  • Certification through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS preferred
  • Prior clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist highly desirable
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and assessment skills

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care treatment plans for patients of all ages
  • Administer therapeutic respiratory treatments, including aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, and ventilation management
  • Monitor and maintain equipment such as ventilators and oxygen delivery systems
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare practitioners to optimize patient care
  • Provide patient and family education on respiratory health, equipment usage, and therapy techniques
  • Accurately document treatments, observations, and patient progress according to facility guidelines
  • Respond to emergency respiratory situations and support rapid response teams as needed
