Registered Respiratory Therapist in Clarkston, MI

Deliver essential respiratory care and diagnostic services as a skilled Respiratory Therapist within a dynamic healthcare environment. Your expertise will be vital in supporting intensive care and general practice units through the administration of life-support, resuscitation, medical gases, and both invasive and non-invasive procedures. This contract role offers opportunities to work in a collaborative setting, utilizing advanced technology and maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

Schedule/Hours:

• Two openings: night shift
• One opening: day shift

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Associate of Science degree in Respiratory Therapy
• Current NBRC certification
• Current NRP certification
• Active MI state RT licensure
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association

Preferred Experience:

• Familiarity with PB 980 and/or EV300 non-invasive ventilators
• Experience operating ABL blood gas analyzers
• Background in special care nursery environments

Primary Responsibilities:

• Administer life-support, resuscitation, and monitoring therapies as prescribed
• Deliver various medical gases and diagnostic testing, adapting to both critical and general care patients
• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation and patient billing information
• Efficiently communicate with healthcare teams and patients to address and coordinate care needs
• Supervise and provide guidance to respiratory therapists, externs, or students as assigned
• Remain proficient in department protocols and actively participate in professional development and training

$1,685 - $1,843/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
