Schedule:

  • 12-hour night shifts (6:00pm - 6:30am)
  • 3 shifts per week, providing a balanced work-life rhythm
  • On call: 4 nights in a six-week period to provide additional coverage for designated units

Qualifications:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials
  • Current Ohio state license to practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Proven ability to work effectively during nighttime hours and manage emergent situations
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and monitor all types of respiratory therapy treatments per physician orders
  • Manage ventilator and other life-support equipment for patients of varying acuity
  • Assess, document, and report on patient status, responding quickly to changes in clinical condition
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to provide the highest standard of care
  • Educate patients and families on therapy plans and respiratory equipment as needed
  • Safely maintain and operate respiratory care equipment, troubleshooting issues promptly
