This contract opportunity is structured for a 13-week commitment, ideal for professionals eager to make an immediate impact. Schedule/Hours:

  • Shift: 3 x 12-hour night shifts (6:00pm – 6:30am)
  • On-call: 4 nights over a six-week schedule, supporting additional units as needed

Qualifications:

  • Current Ohio license for Respiratory Therapy
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
  • American Heart Association BLS certification
  • Proven experience working with diverse respiratory disorders
  • Strong communication and patient assessment skills
  • Adaptability and commitment to high-quality patient care, especially during night shifts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and deliver respiratory care for patients with acute and chronic conditions
  • Perform therapeutic interventions, including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and airway management
  • Conduct patient assessments and monitor equipment, ensuring optimal function and patient safety
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care
  • Document patient progress, treatments, and outcomes accurately in the medical record
  • Respond promptly to code and emergency situations, demonstrating sound judgment and composure
