Key Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • Graduation from an accredited respiratory care program
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency with ventilators, oxygen therapy, and pulmonary function testing
  • Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
  • Experience in acute and critical care settings highly desirable

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, monitor respiratory status, and collaborate with physicians to develop care plans
  • Administer and adjust ventilatory support, aerosol and nebulizer therapies, and chest physiotherapy treatments
  • Educate patients and families about respiratory treatments and equipment usage
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gases and pulmonary function studies
  • Ensure accurate clinical documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
  • Maintain equipment, adhere to infection control protocols, and participate in ongoing departmental education
