Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) required
- Previous experience in acute care or hospital settings strongly preferred
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams
- Flexibility to float between hospital sites based on census and departmental needs
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and deliver respiratory care, including oxygen therapy, airway management, and ventilator support
- Administer and monitor respiratory treatments as ordered by physicians
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records
- Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to ensure continuity and quality of care
- Educate patients and families regarding respiratory care procedures and disease management
- Maintain equipment and track supply levels to ensure department preparedness
