Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) required
  • Previous experience in acute care or hospital settings strongly preferred
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams
  • Flexibility to float between hospital sites based on census and departmental needs

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and deliver respiratory care, including oxygen therapy, airway management, and ventilator support
  • Administer and monitor respiratory treatments as ordered by physicians
  • Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records
  • Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to ensure continuity and quality of care
  • Educate patients and families regarding respiratory care procedures and disease management
  • Maintain equipment and track supply levels to ensure department preparedness
