Qualifications:

• Active credentials as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Current state licensure
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and collaborative abilities
• Previous experience in acute care or hospital environments preferred

Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and assess patient response
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot respiratory care equipment
• Perform diagnostic tests, such as arterial blood gases and pulmonary function studies
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and evaluate respiratory care plans
• Educate patients and families on respiratory health management
• Ensure accurate documentation in patient medical records
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols throughout all procedures
