A contract opportunity awaits professionals experienced in respiratory care. Schedule:
- Three 12-hour night shifts each week
- Shift hours: 7:00pm - 7:30am
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Valid Ohio state respiratory care license
- At least 2 years of clinical experience in a respiratory therapist role, preferably in acute care or hospital environments
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive respiratory assessments and deliver evidence-based therapy to patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions
- Administer and monitor respiratory treatments, such as oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and ventilator support
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Manage equipment setup, calibration, and regular maintenance in accordance with strict safety and infection control standards
- Respond quickly to respiratory emergencies, ensuring timely and efficient patient care
- Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies, home care, and equipment use as appropriate
