A contract opportunity awaits professionals experienced in respiratory care. This role is ideal for a Registered Respiratory Therapist who is ready to bring expertise and dedication to a high-quality healthcare environment. The engagement spans 13 weeks and is designed for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative hospital setting.

Schedule:

  • Three 12-hour night shifts each week
  • Shift hours: 7:00pm - 7:30am

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Valid Ohio state respiratory care license
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience in a respiratory therapist role, preferably in acute care or hospital environments
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive respiratory assessments and deliver evidence-based therapy to patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions
  • Administer and monitor respiratory treatments, such as oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and ventilator support
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
  • Manage equipment setup, calibration, and regular maintenance in accordance with strict safety and infection control standards
  • Respond quickly to respiratory emergencies, ensuring timely and efficient patient care
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies, home care, and equipment use as appropriate
