Deliver exceptional care as a valued member of a respected Respiratory Therapy team, serving a renowned 247-bed hospital recognized as a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and a certified Stroke and Chest Pain Center. In this specialized contract role, you will work with a diverse patient population, primarily neonate to pediatric, with occasional adult care as needed.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour night shifts
  • 36 hours per week, 1900-0700
  • Every other weekend rotation
  • No on-call requirement
  • Holiday coverage: Work 75% of major holidays

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist (Resource Team)
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credentials
  • Active North Carolina license
  • Required certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP
  • Proficiency with IPPV/NIPPV ventilators and experience in ED, PICU, Pediatric CVICU, Pediatric PCU, and General Medical Floors
  • Comfortable providing respiratory care across all ages, from neonates to adults
  • EMR experience (EPIC preferred)
  • Must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality respiratory care for pediatric and occasional adult patients throughout the hospital
  • Participate as a dedicated team member in a collaborative teaching environment
  • Maintain detailed documentation using EPIC
  • Engage in initial orientation (NEO plus 2 days departmental learning)
  • Adhere to department protocols and hospital standards for patient safety and care
