Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Concord, North Carolina

Seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality respiratory care in a dynamic pediatric teaching hospital. This contract opportunity focuses on supporting a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and caring for a diverse patient population, from neonates to adults as needed. You’ll work within a resourceful team supported by experienced respiratory leadership.

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour night shifts (7:00 pm – 7:00 am), 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation
• No call required
• Expectation to work 75% of holidays
• Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist on a resource team
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
• Current NC respiratory license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Experience with IPPV/NIPPV ventilators and patient care within ED, PICU, Peds CVICU, Peds PCU, and General Med Floors
• EMR proficiency with EPIC
• Open to first-time contract travelers
• Must maintain a permanent residence at least 50 miles from the facility

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive respiratory care throughout the pediatric and adult units within the facility
• Administer, monitor, and document therapy in alignment with hospital protocols
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Utilize specialized technology and department-specific equipment
• Participate in mandatory orientation and departmental training
• Comply with department standards, including dress code (royal blue scrubs)
