Take on an impactful role providing expert care to pediatric and adult patients as a Respiratory Therapist in a dynamic hospital setting. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work in a Level I trauma and teaching facility, bringing your skills to both pediatric and adult intensive care environments.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 13-week assignment
  • 3x12 hour night shifts (specific days will be discussed during the interview)

Qualifications:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
  • Active RI state license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
  • Prior experience in pediatric emergency departments and pediatric intensive care units
  • Previous work in adult and pediatric Level I trauma centers strongly preferred
  • Experience working in an ICU and teaching hospital setting highly valued
  • Willingness to work in pediatric ED, PICU, and adult ICU as needed

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the full spectrum of respiratory care to both pediatric and adult patients in high-acuity settings
  • Assess, plan, and implement respiratory interventions for trauma, critical care, and emergency cases
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a teaching hospital environment
  • Maintain clear communication with physicians, nurses, and support staff
  • Ensure accurate patient documentation and maintain compliance with hospital protocols
