Step into a valued role providing critical respiratory care in a dynamic clinical setting. This opportunity is ideal for skilled Registered Respiratory Therapists interested in a contract position serving both adult and neonatal populations.
Schedule:
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 pm – 7:00 am)
- Every other weekend required
- Call requirement: 2 per 6-week period (NICU RRT only)
- Night shifts
Key Qualifications:
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- PALS and NRP certification required for NICU therapists
- At least 2 years of recent experience in respiratory therapy
- Recent critical care background essential
- Labor and delivery experience required for NICU RRTs
- Flexibility to work with both adult and neonatal patients (for NICU RRT)
- Suitable for both travelers and local candidates (within 100-mile radius)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to adult and NICU patients, including assessment, intervention, and evaluation
- Collaborate closely with medical and nursing teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Administer, monitor, and adjust ventilatory support and other advanced respiratory modalities
- Document therapeutic interventions and patient progress in accordance with clinical standards
- Participate in call as required, including rapid response for emergent situations (NICU RRT)
- Maintain the highest standards of patient safety, infection control, and evidence-based practice
