Seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide essential respiratory care under physician supervision. Schedule:
- 8-hour day shifts
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Care
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials from the National Board of Respiratory Therapy
- Active Respiratory Care Professional licensure in the State of Georgia
- Three years of experience, preferably in a long-term care setting
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in programs like Word and Excel
- Excellent critical thinking, organizational, and communication abilities across multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Administer all aspects of respiratory and critical care in accordance with physician orders
- Provide assessment and therapeutic intervention for patients with respiratory insufficiencies
- Operate, monitor, and maintain respiratory therapy equipment
- Educate patients and families about procedures and delivery of care
- Document therapy procedures, patient responses, and progress accurately in electronic medical records
- Collaborate with healthcare colleagues to ensure coordinated and effective patient care
- Follow all regulatory and facility protocols to maintain patient safety
