Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver respiratory care programs as ordered by physicians, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and mechanical ventilation
- Conduct diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gases and pulmonary function tests
- Monitor patient status and collaborate closely with nursing and medical staff on treatment plans
- Provide patient and family education on respiratory treatments and equipment usage
- Adhere to strict infection control and safety standards in all respiratory procedures
- Accurately document care and maintain proper records in accordance with facility policy
Desired Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT required)
- Associate degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program
- Proven clinical experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Familiarity with a variety of respiratory technology, equipment, and procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with team members, patients, and families
- Exceptional attention to detail and organization in fast-paced environments
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
