Respiratory Therapist | Endicott, New York

Bring your expertise as a Respiratory Therapist to an engaging contract opportunity delivering essential care to patients in a dynamic hospital environment. This position offers the chance to contribute to critical care and neonatal intensive care units, working with state-of-the-art ventilator systems and supporting vital respiratory interventions.

Schedule:

• Night shifts
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week assignment

Qualifications:

• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Active New York State Respiratory Therapy License
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Previous experience in critical care and NICU settings required
• Proficient in the use of V60 BiPAP and 980 Puritan Bennett Ventilators
• Experience documenting in EPIC electronic medical records
• Must be comfortable participating in external patient transports

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory care to patients in the ICU, NICU, and throughout the facility
• Assess, monitor, and manage patients on various ventilatory support devices
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately within EPIC
• Participate in external patient transports as needed, ensuring safe and effective respiratory management during transfers
