Bring your expertise as a Respiratory Therapist to an engaging contract opportunity delivering essential care to patients in a dynamic hospital environment. Schedule:
- Night shifts
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week assignment
Qualifications:
- NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Active New York State Respiratory Therapy License
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Previous experience in critical care and NICU settings required
- Proficient in the use of V60 BiPAP and 980 Puritan Bennett Ventilators
- Experience documenting in EPIC electronic medical records
- Must be comfortable participating in external patient transports
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory care to patients in the ICU, NICU, and throughout the facility
- Assess, monitor, and manage patients on various ventilatory support devices
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately within EPIC
- Participate in external patient transports as needed, ensuring safe and effective respiratory management during transfers
