Registered Respiratory Therapist in Endicott, NY

Schedule & Hours

• Night shifts
• Every other weekend required
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week assignment

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid Respiratory Therapist credentials
• Demonstrated experience in critical care and NICU settings
• Proficient in managing V60 BiPAP and 980 Puritan Bennett Ventilators
• Experience using the EPIC electronic medical record system
• Comfortable with external patient transports

Key Responsibilities

• Administer various respiratory therapy treatments including aerosol, CPT/Flutter/PEP mask, incentive spirometry, MDI therapy, suctioning, and extubation
• Responsible for oxygen tank safety and performing oxygen therapy using all approved devices
• Manage BiPAP-CPAP, high-flow cannula/humidifier therapy, and all associated alarms
• Deliver cough assist/vest therapy and pulmonary function screening
• Perform arterial puncture and analysis for blood gas lab and maintain quality control protocols
• Conduct adult and pediatric EKGs as well as BLS (adult, pediatric, neonatal) support
• Utilize and manage clinical systems (Soarian, MAK, McKesson) for patient care and medication administration
• Maintain accurate patient procedure records and provide thorough documentation
• Participate in fit testing, employee health initiatives, and departmental in-service programs
• Support departmental operations, including adhering to delivery standards and assisting with administrative duties

$2,211 - $2,419/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
