Schedule:
- 3 shifts per week, 12-hour days
- 7:00 am to 7:30 pm
- Specific days to be determined during the interview process
Qualifications:
- Current credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Valid Connecticut state license
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care environment preferred
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform respiratory therapy procedures, including administering oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, and aerosol treatments
- Conduct patient assessments and monitor respiratory status
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide education to patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and equipment use
- Accurately document all treatments, responses, and progress in the electronic medical record
