Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
  • Ability to assess, plan, and carry out respiratory therapy interventions
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with ventilators, nebulizers, oxygen therapy, and related equipment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient assessments and deliver respiratory care based on physician orders
  • Monitor patient progress, document interventions, and adjust therapy as needed
  • Manage and maintain respiratory equipment, ensuring safety and proper function
  • Educate patients and their families on therapies, procedures, and respiratory health
  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
  • Respond promptly to critical situations, providing emergency respiratory interventions
  • Maintain compliance with facility policies, safety protocols, and HIPAA regulations
