Respiratory Therapist | Fort Monroe, Virginia

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist with a strong background as a Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapist. This full-time contract position offers the chance to work with a dynamic team near the vibrant Virginia Beach area. Immediate interviews are being scheduled for highly qualified candidates.

Schedule:

• Weekdays: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• 13-week contract

Essential Qualifications:

• Current credentials as a Respiratory Therapist (RT), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a clinical setting, with generalist experience preferred
• Hands-on experience with GE equipment
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Life Support (ALCS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver excellent patient care by assessing, treating, and monitoring patients with respiratory dysfunction
• Operate and monitor respiratory therapy equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized plans of care
• Provide clear documentation of treatments and progress in medical records
• Respond efficiently to acute and emergency respiratory situations
