Registered Respiratory Therapist in Fortuna, CA

Deliver high-quality care in a dynamic hospital environment as an experienced Respiratory Therapist. This contract opportunity is ideal for those with credentials as either a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT), eager to contribute clinical expertise within a supportive healthcare team.

Schedule/Hours:

• Three 12-hour day shifts per week (3x12s)
• 36 hours per week guaranteed

Key Qualifications:

• Active California Respiratory Therapist license
• Certification as either a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
• Current NRP, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Negative TB test within the past 12 months
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities:

• Assess, treat, and monitor patients requiring respiratory therapy interventions
• Administer and monitor mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, and aerosol treatments
• Perform patient education for families and caregivers regarding respiratory care plans
• Collaborate effectively with nurses, physicians, and other allied health professionals
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all safety and infection control protocols
