Respiratory Therapist | Fountain, Michigan

A skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist is needed for a 13-week contract assignment covering all aspects of respiratory therapy care. This role offers the opportunity to work independently within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Schedule:

• Night shift: 19:00 – 07:30
• Wednesday-to-Tuesday stretch
• Alternating weekly hours: 36 hours one week, 48 hours the next
• Every other weekend
• Holiday shifts as needed

Qualifications:

• Active RRT license in the state of Michigan
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Demonstrated competence in all areas of respiratory therapy practice, including assessment, intervention, and patient monitoring
• Ability to work autonomously and take initiative in both routine and acute situations
• Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments and deliver respiratory care services in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
• Manage and troubleshoot all types of respiratory therapy equipment
• Collaborate closely with nursing staff, physicians, and ancillary teams to ensure coordinated patient care
• Document interventions, patient responses, and clinical observations accurately and promptly
• Uphold safety, infection control, and quality assurance standards at all times
• Participate in response teams for medical emergencies, including code blue and rapid response situations

$2,178 - $2,304/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
