As a Respiratory Therapist with a passion for both neonate-pediatric and adult care, this contract opportunity places you at the heart of a collaborative, high-acuity team. The facility utilizes EPIC and is a Chest Pain Center, ensuring exposure to advanced technology and diverse patient populations.

Schedule & Hours

  • 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Weekend rotation: every other weekend
  • Holiday requirements: 75% of facility holidays
  • No on-call or call-back requirements

Key Qualifications

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
  • Active North Carolina licensure required
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications (Resource Team requirement)
  • Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience, preferably in resource/float teams
  • Strong experience with ventilators (IPPV/NIPPV), respiratory care in ED, PICU, Peds CVICU, Peds PCU, and general medical floors
  • EPIC EMR familiarity preferred

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive respiratory care across all units, focusing on neonate, pediatric, and—when needed—adult acute cases
  • Function as a resource therapist, adapting to different acuity levels and interdisciplinary teams
  • Collaborate closely with Respiratory Leadership and support staff
  • Maintain expert knowledge of department-specific equipment and protocols
  • Participate in a two-day department orientation alongside facility onboarding
